So, you know that espresso is fine ground; as opposed to perk ground or coarsely ground? .. The main problem is that the finely ground beans may go through your paper filter; and will definitely clog up any fabric-type filter. It might be a little stronger too, in equal amounts, since you have more area of the beans exposed to the water
